mp came a visiting

my mp (member of parliament) did a walkabout this morning visiting each household in my block. haha, just realised that its still the same guy. i think he is the mp representing my neighborhood bah, not very sure, me seldom saw him around one. coincidently the last time i saw him was around the general election period about 4 years ago early one morning at the busstop when i was going to work. he was there introducing himself to every passerby. mabbe i not active in my neighborhood bah, afterall i dun do marketing, seldom eat out around my place (dun ask me wat is nice here, i dunno!), dun go ktv at the resident committee clubhouse, no kids to pick up at the nearby kindergarten, dun come and bother me...

he seemed to remember my dad though. different mah, my dad more active in the neighborhood. he got lim kopi at the kopitiam or hawker center one, and also does marketing (for fish only). anyway lil' sis quizzed the mp on things like upgrading and whether he gonna represent our area in the coming GE but of course he maintained his political correctness and siam the direct answers la. politicians mah, wat you expect??

(quite) crazy week

wahlau ay... so fast saturday liaoz. this week was quite crazy. 1 week absent niah niah, my mailbox tio flooded, somemore tio shot a few arrows to fight some fire. singapore sometime got bush fire during the dry june period, market fire when the market didnt buy insurance power supply tio short, trash bin fire when some inconsiderate, stupid, brain-choked-by-nicotine smokers dump the unextinguished bud into it etc but most of all, with no official statistics being gathered, theres also work-related fire la - the kind no water sprinklers or fire extinguishers can fight one.

heng, last week my colleague very nice stood in for me (very thank you to LF! ) so already taken care of some of them. only left 1 big scud missile-class one to tackle. this one, the fire not small with our users and boss breathing down our necks. so whole week was spent mainly on this and managed to complete my part on fri but my teammate quite cham, she sms'ed us that she completed it on sat 1+ am...

on the personal front also quite happening this week:

• treated a colleague/friend/trading buddy to her long-overdued birthday dinner. wahlau, she jio'ed me to play mahjong wo... wait i win all her baby's pampers/guni hoon lui (milk powder money) then she knows. muahahahaha!!


• went for a health screening organised by HR. not bad, still healthy. somemore height went up by 1 cm, back to my dream height (dun care, i am still growing!! haha!) and weight also increased by 2.5 kg. its ok one, now my BMI is just nice, swee swee bor zao jwee (literally, pretty pretty no run water. dun understand go ask your hokkien friend)! heheh...


• went blading at east coast today. cheong from fort road to singapore sailing club and back (almost 19 km ok). not very far la the distance but doing that while towing someone along... err... still not very far, not very far! hehee...!


• wanna go check out autobac to see wat they got but after dinner already too late to go liao. another time la... oh no! am i getting hand itchy and wanna zhng my car now??!!

the sun, the sea, and the mosquitoes

so me finally moved out for exercise in the later part of morning. my 4-men signal team was sent to some ulu (remote) place in the western part of singapore. there got nothing one: no toilet, no shower, no canteen, nothing except for 1 pathetic looking training shed.

the only nice thing about the place was the scenary la. living in urban singapore, where to find such scenary le?

gotta see sunset somemore...

but then hor, being so close to nature also got problem la. the problem was none other than M for mosquitoes lo!! wahlau think they saw us they very happy; got xiao gias stupid enough to camp there overnight. we probably looked to them like sacrificial lambs like that, sibeh chams...

they came in waves one, dunno how many squadrons, whole night raiding us. actually we also knew sure got a lot of mosquitoes one, so got bring mosquito coil and insect repellant. day time we lit up 2 coils and applied the repellant on those exposed parts of our bodies. wah come night time hor, 2 coils not enough, we lit up another 2, then another 2. in the end i also lost count how many we lit altogether. haha!

then hor, the raiders also sibeh gilat. must be commando trained one. the exposed parts got repellant, so they siam, did a flanking maneuver and attack through my uniform!! at the same time another 2 squads went buzzing around your ears and basically drove me nuts... wah lau whole night couldnt sleep...

hengz it was only a 2-day 1-night exercise, somemore exercise cut very early else i dunno how much blood i would donate there...

in camp training this week

this week, me is serving the nation, making sure our land is safe so that the general election can be held on schedule and the gahmen gets the 'mandate of the people'. hahaha! like as if...

nor, that ICT i mentioned about previously lor. will be idling, going canteen break, shopping at the e-mart, kooning having training for 1 week, somemore got test and exercise at the end of the week ok. so siong...

hmm next month if i suay suay go oversea ICT and if suay suay the gahmen declares election, then does that mean i dont get to vote... again??

tom yum ban mian

made tom yum ban mian for lunch today with help from mom. actually she also dont know how to make tom yum soup one. so we used tom yum pre-mixed but added in some of the ingredients that we knew la. recipe came from google search. heh....

oh, also have to thank my siblings who legs itchy wanna ride in the car very nice go ntuc with me to get the ingredients.

not bad ok, tasted almost like the real thing except that its not spicy enough because both parents boi tahan the chilli padi. hheehee...

dad gimme 70/100 score! hmm not bad, think can go dubai pian jiak pian jiak already. heheheh!! err... why dubai? i dunno also, somehow it came to my mind! haha!!

lil' sis's blog moved also...

hmm... now is the blog moving season isit? yesterday i sua (move/shift) then afternoon, someone told me her blog moved also. somemore put a sibeh attitude notice there, that gal, not like me put frenly message. heehee...

well, think its directed at those knnbccb [insert expletive] spammers la. she said she kena alot until boi tahan so moved. frankly i dunno what good that will do if the picture thingy on the post comment form doesnt work to prevent spambots but its her blog mah, up to her how she wanna handle it la.

anyway me wont be linking to her blog liao. for those people who know her but sway sway didnt receive her email notification (email server cockup, i also din get it...) one, its not too difficult to guess her new address la.

hopefully no need to move again, mai tan majiam that 孟 (mother of Mencius) like that gotta move 3 times or more! then i shall call her 孟妹, muahhaha!!
