games of yesteryear

if you remember these games, you probably enjoyed them then. now wanna play still can. if you were too young to remember these games, you dunno what you missed...
before there's Street Fighter, there was... Karateka! here, you are the super-hamsome hero, a karate blackbelt, a karateka! only the hero shows his face, the ka-gias (henchmen) all wear masks; the boss has the funny samurai hairstyle, so best of the worst mah, of course hamsome lor, haha!

your mission: to rescue the quite chio princess Mariko - the only gal in the game so mai hiam la... - from the evil Akuma (the boss i mentioned just now). your training in karate enables you to deliver deadly high kick/punch, straight kick/punch, and low kick/punch onto your enemies. but beware, Akuma's ka-gias are also karate-trained and his pet eagle also got sharp sharp talons. ay sai bor?

note: Mariko's front kick also very deadly. 1 kick niah niah you die!

one of the ancestors of World of Warcraft, Diablo, and all the RPGs out there today. in Ultima IV (there were already 3 games before this, but i started from here) you must tiao jwee (recruit companions), bia jwee (fight monsters) and find temple to pai pai (pray at the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom) to become sibeh sek jwee (very good) avatar so as be a role model for people to follow ala 模范生?? your friend lor, mr Lord British say one, so must listen. heehee!

wanna play, go install AppleWin Apple IIe emulator and download the disk images then can play liao. have fun!
