making orni (yam paste)

today is chinese new year eve. house got pai pai, so mom prepared quite alot of food. "new year liaoz, ancestors also must have good meal," she said.

hey i got dao ka chiu (help out) ok. here you see me helping mom with the 白果芋泥 (yam paste with ginko nuts) aka orni (in hokkien). she did the preparation la, i did the yam mashing. heheh.

cooking me dont know much la, but come to mashing things up hor, me is second to none in the family ok! mai siao siao wo... haha!! last time pound the hay bi hiam (dried shrimp) pound until people comprain too fine. so this time mash the yam i only chut 50% internal strength (五成功力) niah niah. still, the yam was reduced to a pulp! hardly got chunky bits left. haha!
