"would you rather have it and then lose it in the end, or not having it in the first place?"this was a thought that i had and quoted in somebody's blog. the person's answer was not to have it in the first place. this reminds me of a story i read about in the dragonlance saga. let me try to retell it here...
once upon a time, there was an evil man in the land. he committed so many evil deeds that finally, the gods decided to punish him for his wrongdoings. as a punishment, the gods gave him the power to see into the future. upon hearing this, the man burst into laughter and mocked at the gods' so called punishment. but little was he aware of his own folly that by giving him the power, the gods were taking away something precious from him - hope.
by not having it in the first place, isnt it akin to giving up hope?
"the good things that happened are memories to be kept. the bad things, lessons to be learned. all in all, they make you a better person."cheers!

Most of the time in life, we can't choose to have it or not having it. When it comes, you have to accept it or unknowingly accept it. When it don't come, no matter how long you wait for it, it won't come.
Life is something like this. There is no eternity in the world. Like we have our body and we will lose it one day.
I would still choose to have it and eventually lose it in the end. This is because I believe.... this is life.
